The Yes & is Gahlord Dewald (electronics) and Leilehua Lanzilotti (viola / objects). Formed in New York in 2016, the band is now based in Honolulu and has toured across Europe, North America, and the Pacific. Their creative practice is grounded in listening, with frequent uses of field recordings and other experimental practices that blend natural and electronic sounds in the concert space. Through this practice of blurring the lines between processed and acoustic sound, the duo encourages courageous and active listening.
